Ok, obviously lots happens at Uni, that's a given.
I'll start by saying a couple of weeks ago I had a go on a rollapaluza thing, and got a time of 23.29 seconds...which if you look at http://www.rollapaluza.com/ isn't too bad a time, but at Lough Uni I wasn't in the top 5!
Anyway, on Weds (24th of October) I was riding with the fast MTB group...and er came off my bike. I went over a log, but misjudged it and so fell over sideways (I had almost corrected my slip, but the bike I think got tangled in the bush I had accidenly landed in rather than the trail) so I fell over the other way. The bike landed on me and therefore hurt my foot!
I rode on for about 1/2 a mile because the pain became less, but then when we stopped to regroup, I found out I couldn't walk. Therefore I decided that despite wanting to do the rest of the ride, I should head back to my flat. Managed to ride one footed most of the way (I now thank having 27 gears) and overtake some cyclists
I managed to carry my bike up the stairs somehow one footed, and er put ice on my foot, had a shower and stuff.
I then went to try and collect my post (only 150 metres away) but couldn't walk, so I had to get my campus bike to pedal over (as I could use one foot). Then I went out to the Union as it was our department social and Hey Ewe...had to cycle there, and hobble everywhere, and stayed from about 7:15 to 12:30....
Thursday was painful in the morning, and I took 20 minutes to get to my lecture rather than 5, despite still being able to half cycle there. Afterwards I then went to the medical centre at Uni, who advised I should go to the NHS drop in centre in town. So I cycled there, waited a while, ate some chips, they called me in, decided it needed X-raying. The X-rays showed me that I had fractured my foot (metatarsal), not just bruised it. But because it's not too bad, it's in a bandage support and I have to take it easy. They reckon 3 weeks for it to be fully mended.
On the minus side, that means I couldn't night ride on the 25th, and no BUSA hillclimb today, and I suspect no circuit training for a few weeks and the weds ride I'm going to go on the slow ride
However my wishes go out to those involved with the big accident on the slow ride where one of the riders had to be taken away by air ambulance on the same day as my accident.

Ok ages since I've posted.
Over the summer I was working at Faber Maunsell in Witham, and they are now sponsoring me to do my degree
During that time I've been go karting with them, and also I cycled the South Downs Way in a weekend see here.
I've also started Loughborough University, and living in the scum accomodation (Falk-Egg); but it's a reasonable amount of fun, some pictures n stuff should appear on facebook at some point...
Website wise, the domain thingy works so I'm now properly zippy-online as opposed to redirecting.
Oh, and Ive joined the cycle club at Lough, and they seem like good fellas even if a few of them are quite fast
Probably not a very interesting post, but I guess it kinda keeps you updated. A lot has happened in a short space of time!
Oh and the next set of pages to be developed at some point in the future are my bike pages: www.zippy-online.co.uk/bike

Now that the exams are over, it is once again time to resume with normal life! I say normal, I now have no more CRGS everAnyway, the exams were a bit frantic, and I really hope that I got my B in maths...I worked damn hard for it
So this last week, I have had off exams. It's been quite busy as I have had to re-organise everything. Have manages to make some vinyl stickers with the website address in various colours, and will be fixing them to various bikes n stuff later
I am building with the help of a friend a computer for my brother, on a budget and it comes out quite a nice spec.
Have built my uni bike....even if it isn't 100% ready, it's most of the way there. I even made a cool timelapse video of it here and you can see the project on my website page here. I am quite pleased with the video result
Has been busy busy, and will remain busy busy, but pleased that the exams are over.

Er, well A while since I did my last post. Since then, I am now practically fully running on my new computer, and transferred most stuff across, and set up the new computer to work on the whole. Shall be tweaking it once the exams are overI have no officially left the sixth form bit of the grammar, and I didn't go to the ball for various reasons, and still think overall I probably made the right choice as I was likely to be £50 out of pocket, although it did look like the dinner and ball was quite good, maybe I should have gone. Anyway, that's in the past, I have to look towards the future.
Exams are close, and I know a ridiculously small amount, and need to pass my exams! I'm only confident about one of the exams, and even then I still have to do preperation.
Then during the summer I have a summer placement with Faber Maunsell, and will be cycle commuting there 26miles there and back. I also have a 2 week break inbetween to go to France with family, this time with camcorder and camera to get some good media footage. Hopefully be able to bring laptop, and webcam to get some good recording. Oh and laptop in car will mean good old autoroute can kinda help with the route when we lose the real map
Then University
Oh yes, now I have a spare computer in effect (old laptop), it's just about powerful enough to use a webcam (only just, it's not powerful enough to use webcam and messenger!)
Over and out
p.s. AAAGGHH exams

New Computer ordered today.Athlon 64 X2 5000+
2048MB RAM
ATI X1300 Pro Graphics
16xDVD+/-RW drive and DVD-ROM drive
20" flat panel monitor, DVI Input, 1680x1050 pixels
..tis a dell dimension thingy.
Anyway, it will enable me to make videos and do graphics and stuff for my website, without it taking ages and ages!
Also worried about exams...and despite having a bank holiday weekend, I did less work than a normal weekend
Been ordering bits for my new bike, see my bikey blog thingy. Also have started work on my page about my bikes, and forthcoming events...haven't got far, but i'ts online with a link on my front page if you look hard enough.
Oh yeh, and I have a better digital video camera, still cheap, but I'll be able to get better videos done now. Gonna start testing it out in the car (no my driving is not even slightly like my cycling
Ermm not a lot else has happened, my climbing is improving I think, although James with one leg (one is broken) managed to do a route that I can't do with two legs and arms
AAGGHH....exams, well first one is in 8 days time...to say I'm worried is a bit of understatement, and I'm worried about all the others too...except tech, where I would have to be exceedingly thick to fail.
Oh yeh, whole year photo happened today, will probably buy that
Till the next time...laters
Oh yeh, Forgot to say I am heading the campaign to get Colchester on the Monopoly Map. I have a huge facebook group, and we're er currently on the board. See www.monopoly.co.uk Colchester is a wildcard...so vote Colchester on the wildcard form
